3. Access students about US diplomacy

Eighty Malian middle school and high school students attended a “Meet the Embassy” orientation seminar at the U.S. Embassy in Bamako, Mali. These students are participants in the Embassy’s English Access Microscholarship Program. This program puts promising, underprivileged youth through two years of English classes. Seven different sections of the Embassy participated in the orientation to explain the different activities the Embassy undertakes in Mali and how an Embassy is run. The orientation also included a tour of the Consular Section and Embassy grounds.
