As part of the celebration of the International Education Week, the Information Resources Center in Bamako, hosted a virtual fair on November 13, 2012 at the American Embassy. During the sessions, thirty three (33) Malian students had an opportunity to visit a number of American universities.  Their hosts in the United States discussed the American system of higher education with them and explained the various means by which non-American students could apply to American colleges and universities.   The American Consul in Bamako, Mr. Sean Smith, also addressed the students and answered many, many questions regarding the processes students must follow in order to obtain a valid student (F1) visa for the United States.
