Defense Attache Office
The United States Defense Attaché Office (USDAO) performs representational functions on the behalf of the Secretary of Defense, the Secretaries of the Military Services, the Joints Chiefs of Staff, the Chiefs of the US Military Services, and the Commander of European Command. The Defense Attaché is also responsible for administering the Security Assistance and Humanitarian Assistance programs on behalf of the Defense Institute for Security Assistance Management and the US European Command.
