Arabic Book Donation

APAO, Kathleen Peoples with the instructors

On April 15, 2011 APAO Kathleen Peoples, accompanied by Cultural assistant Aboubacar Cisse, visited La Source, a medersa near the Embassy, to donate children’s books in the Arabic language.  The books were provided, thanks to the generosity of the Nashashibi family.  Jennifer Nashashibi is the Embassy Financial Management Officer.  The donation was used to highlight religious tolerance by mentioning that Americans of many different faiths live and work together. School administrators and teachers were thankful for the gesture.
